The Queensland Bottle Tree is a striking, slow-growing succulent tree known for its massively swollen, bulbous trunk that tapers dramatically at the top, resembling a vintage bottle. Its canopy features dense clusters of narrow, glossy green leaves. A fun fact is that the trunk can store up to 1,500 litres of water, allowing the tree to survive extreme droughts; indigenous Australians traditionally tapped this water source in the bush. It is best suited for outdoor growth in full sun, requires excellent drainage, and prefers to dry out completely between waterings.
